If you ask a “food and resto enthusiast” where to dine in Baguio, you might encounter a list of them. If you combine a great food with good ambiance and artistry you might hear Cafe by the ruins.
Cafe by the ruins is a place where you can find an artistic cuisine good for travelers, tourist and people who like a new experience of different food taste.
It is small and cozy, woody chairs and tables, painting view on the left dinning, round tables on the middle, plants on the surroundings and amicable waiters. On the menu the dishes named differently with delicious and interesting title. It’s a bit expensive and I have experienced a different kind of food which I took risk to order.
Café by the ruins is a good place to have a good coffee table chat with their special brewed coffees. I have tasted their “café by the ruins special coffee” 80php and dang rich of espresso flavors, cream and cinnamon! It also serves with pure muscovado to rich more the taste with little sweetness. I recommend the place for coffee drinkers.
The foods are great for vegetarians and you can actually taste the herbs that adds flavors.
This goes with the watercrest and the bread stuffed embutido is really weird and it’s not actually match with rice.
I love their water crest and dipping which what I crave for.
This is called “Bistek na Tagalog”, the concept and preparation of rice looks Thai. It is not cooked well actually so you may ask the waiter to cook it well done before they serve it.
The pasta is lovely and flavorful, grilled chicken is great but, their garnished bread is kinda old.
The soup is quite okay not my super like and favorite.
They serves fresh fruit shakes of strawberry, pineapple and banana.
