Along Gapan Olongapo road, Pampanga you can find a unique restaurant.

Apag Marangle Restaurant is in Bacolor, Pampanga, they serve authentic Kapampangan dishes. The concept is “bahay kubo” made of bamboo floating in a water with tilapia fishes swimming around, and they are enjoyable to watch when you feed them. The total experience is fun, the place, food and people are nice.
This is pinakbet rice with lechong kawali on the top.

A Kapampangan word Apag Marangle literally means Hain sa Bukid. In old Filipino times, if you live in a farm or “bukid”, there are living species that you can catch, cook, serve and eat them.
Famous for farmers are frogs, “hito”, at “dalagang bukid” which Apag Marangle Restaurant introduced what kind of foods our native or old fellow filipinos eat in the farm.
