It’s the season of squid, they are fresh from the ocean and very available to wet market for 100php per kilo. We have so many ways to cook squid. One of the favorite Pinoy “pulutan” for the alcohol beverage drinkers is our very own Filipino Kilawin. But first we need to clean the squid very well to get rid of slimy and black ink squid.
How to clean squid:
Remove the eyes
Pull carefully the head to separate from the body
By the use of your finger, inside its body pull the unecessary stuffing inside the squid then wash. Also, remove the squid cartilage.
On the squid head, remove the hard ball underneath the tentacles.
Wash them with salt and remove all the black liquid inside the head and body of squid.

Prepare the onions, garlics and bell peppers. Cut them to small pieces then soak in vinegar with salt, pepper and sugar.
Slice the squid head and tentacles accordingly:
To soften, boil them in a medium heat for 3 mintes and drain.
Mix and Serve them
